Computer Art (A 75)

1. If you haven't already, Download Paint Shop Pro

2. Open up PSP 98 (Paint Shop Pro 8) either from the icon on the desktop or via the Start programs Jasc Software folder.

3. Take the Product Tour of Painting and Drawing
   Play the movies for:

   • Preset Shapes

4. Don't close the movie window!

5. Select a Foreground and Background color, Gradient/Style or Pattern.
6. Create a new 600 by 600 image
7. Select picture tube and draw with it
8. Create a second raster layer
9. Select a different tube and draw with it
10. Move the top layer left, right, up down.
11. Switch the order of the layers (on the Layers Palette)
12. Double on the top layer and make Opacity about 50%
13. Use the Warp Brush - try the different kinds of warping including the last which is UNwarp
14. Try some effects on the Effects  Menu (on top).  Remember you can always undo.
15. Add more beauty using the paint and brushes if you want.
16. Save the fixed image as a PSP file so you can go back letter and improve it.

17. Save as a JPG

18. Upload the JPG to your web site.
