Computer Art (A 75) - Using PSP Pen and Text Tools

1. If you haven't already, Download Paint Shop Pro

2. Open up PSP 98 (Paint Shop Pro 8) either from the icon on the desktop or via the Start programs Jack Software folder.

3. Take the Product Tour of Painting and Drawing
   Play the movies for:

   • Add a Text Captions

   • Text on a Path

4. Don't close the movie window!

5. Select a Foreground and Background color, Gradient/Style or Pattern.
6. Create a new 600 by 600 image or Select a picture
   This can be your photo or another students photo http://sig2003drew.tripod.com or my photo or your favorite sport or movie star from some site.
   Check suggested photo site
   Right click in PSP 8 window and Paste as new Image
7. Create a curved line
8. Add Text on the path.
9. Change its color, font, size and alignment
10. Remove visibility of the path using the Layer palette
11. Add other stuff if you want

12. Save the image as a PSP file so you can go back letter and improve it.

13. Save as a JPG

14. Upload the JPG to your web site.
