Course Description:
Computer art allows you to combine your artistic talent with powerful computer tools to create unique works of art, both on paper and on the World Wide Web. This course emphasizes creative thinking and problem solving in order to produce effective images. Learn to think in three dimensions to shape objects within the computer. Create projects employing such ideas as personal logos, brochures, and print ads.Goal:
To develop expertise in using computer software to create artistic imagesObjectives:
Students will be able to:1. Plan and create computer images that solve certain problems or perform certain functions
2. Employ the computer’s software to create effective, purposeful, and artistic representations
3. Design and display individual computer art projects that represent their own interests
4. Evaluate real world examples of computer art for effectiveness and aesthetic appeal
5. Post their work on the World Wide Web
6. Locate images (photos and drawing) on the WWW, understand the copyright issues in using them and and modify them.
7. Enhance photographs
